CMN Extension Program

Mission Statement

The College of Muscogee Nation Extension Program’s mission is to provide citizens of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation reservation with research-based education, knowledge, and tools to improve their well-being.  CMN Extension Program places emphasis on Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Tribal Food Sovereignty and Security, sustainable agriculture, nutrition, community gardening and 4-H youth development programs.  

CMNEP’s aim is to: 

  • Provide research-based technical assistance for gardening and sustainable agriculture.
  • Provide access to soil testing and water quality testing.
  • Provide a community seed bank for the MCN community.
  • Provide training on food safety and food preservation.
  • Develop community gardens within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation reservation.
  • Provide opportunities for agricultural productivity.
