We at the College of the Muscogee Nation understand the importance of Toknawa Vnickv (Financial Aid) for many students to ensure academic success. Financial Aid staff is available at the College of the Muscogee Nation to assist you with questions you may have.

Step 1

Complete a FSA ID

Complete a U.S. Department of Education FSA ID Registration if you do not have an FSA ID to use for your electronic signature.

 

  • An FSA ID is a username and password that you must use to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education (ED) websites. Your FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your own personal information on ED websites such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • You will need your social security number, mobile phone number and/or email address.

Step 2

File your FAFSA

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) FAFSA website. CMN school code is 042249 (you will use your FSA ID and password to log in)

FAFSA application opens October 1st for the following academic year.

JANUARY 15TH IS THE FAFSA PRIORITY FILING DEADLINE FOR OKLAHOMAs certain state aid (OTAG/OKLAHOMA PROMISE).

  • Things you need to complete FAFSA: THINGS YOU NEED FOR FASFA 7 STEPS
  • If eligible, please use IRS Data Retrieval Tool it makes the application process easier by transferring your tax information directly into your FAFSA

Step 3

Student Aid Report (SAR)

Review the Student Aid Report

  • After completing FAFSA you will receive conformation email though the email you provided on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This email will include a link to your Student Aid Report (SAR).
  • Review the SAR and make any corrections (if needed).
  • Your SAR will have the Estimated Family Contribution.

Step 4

Scholarships, Work Study & Internship Availability

College of the Muscogee Nation offers an American Indian College Fund Scholarship every Fall and Spring Term, a CMN Scholarship, and Tuition Waiver/Grant.
