Student Success Center

MISSION STATEMENT:
The Student Success Center will assist CMN students in completing their higher education goals by enhancing academic skills through services, programs, and culture. By incorporating Muscogee values, the center offers guidance and support in all areas of college life.

VISION:
The Student Success Center will provide a positive environment for students to express their concerns and share their interests during their educational experiences. Staff members, who are Mvskoke Creek, will mentor students in becoming informed in consistence with CMN’s core value Fvtcetv (Integrity) by empowering them with the necessary information to make effective and responsible decisions in order to persevere throughout their college career.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
Vrakkueckv (Respect) for our Native culture, language, and community is a priority at CMN. In order to perpetuate the existence of those values the Student Success Center will be reaching out to elementary schools and secondary schools students within the boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to provide awareness of college opportunities available to those schools with a high percentage of Native American students. SSC has identified 71 public schools within Muscogee (Creek) Nation boundaries and will work with school officials to identify Native American student populations and to plan outreach visits. The purpose of the school visits will be to encourage Native American elementary school and secondary school students to develop the interest and academic skills to pursue postsecondary education while emphasizing CMN’s core values.

ADMINISTRATION:
The Student Success Center (SSC) is located at the North side of the Administration Building.

The SSC wishes to welcome new students to the CMN campus with information of services offered and to answer any questions.
