Commencement

Congratulations on nearing the completion of your degree or certificate! In celebration of your achievement, CMN will host your commencement ceremony on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10 am at the Mvskoke Dome, Claude Cox Omniplex located 2950 Warrior Rd., Okmulgee, OK. Graduates should arrive by 9:00 am.

Graduates are strongly encouraged to attend graduation practice, which will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2 pm at the Mvskoke Dome, Claude Cox Omniplex. Caps and gowns are not necessary for graduation practice. Refreshments will be provided after practice.

Once again, the faculty and staff recognize your hard work and wish to congratulate you on a job well done. Your graduation date is truly an important event in your life, and we are excited to share the joy of your success and achievement with you. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the Registration office.

Guests needing wheelchair accessibility are encouraged to contact the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs at 918-549-2814.

Graduation Checklist and Commencement Instructions

Graduation:

Graduation checkout process must include the following steps:

  1. Complete checkout from dorms with the Housing Manager (if applicable).
  2. All outstanding accounts must be cleared at the Bursar’s Office.
  3. All books and other circulation items must be returned, and accounts cleared with the library.

Diploma:

  • The Registration office will contact you when your diploma is ready to be picked up. Processing turnaround takes 6-8 weeks, and diplomas will not be in-house until then.
  • Requests for mailed diplomas must be made in writing to the Registration Office.
  • Summer graduates may make similar arrangements at the close of the summer trimester.
  • Outstanding balances or unmet degree requirements will result in a diploma hold or inability to graduate. Your diploma will not be released until balances are resolved and degree requirements are met.

Commencement:

  • The following information will be announced for each graduate during the ceremony:
    • Name
    • Hometown
    • Tribal Town
    • Clan

    These will appear on the slide show. We have taken this information from your Request to Graduate form, but if you need to make changes to this information, contact the registration office at 918-549-2847.

  • Submit a photograph of yourself for the slide show to Carla Brown at [email protected] by Monday, April 13.
  • You will receive ten (10) graduation announcements, at no cost, to mail to friends or family. You may contact Mvskoke Media for more announcements if needed. There is a minimal charge for the extra announcements.
  • Announcements will be ready for pick up on Tuesday, April 7, in the Raven’s Nest Bookstore from 8 a.m-4:30 p.m. Questions about pickup, contact the Raven’s Nest Bookstore at 918-549-2835.
  • Cap and gown will be available for pickup in the Raven’s Nest Bookstore beginning Tuesday, April 7, from 8 a.m-4:30 p.m. Questions about pickup, contact the Raven’s Nest Bookstore at 918-549-2835. Regalia not picked up before graduation will be available at the graduation ceremony on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, in packing and shipped condition.
